Would you consider Frank and Kathy Lee Gifford a famous duo?

My friends and I were playing tergories. Under the category 'Famous Duos and Trios' I wrote Frank and Kathy Lee Gifford (the letter was F). The answer was not accepted because my friends said that since they are independently famous they are NOT a duo. My response was how can two famous married people NOT be considered a 'famous duo'??? Please tell me I'm right.
