Do you think now would be an excellent time...?
...to legalize pot and tax the daylights out of it? How about gambling and prostitution? It might help flush out organized crime. Pot is no worse for you than alcohol or tobacco. To me, this whole war on drugs is neo-prohibition. I say we should decriminalize all the illicit drugs, too. With the debt sky-high and the economy in the gutter, that sounds good to me. I have no problem with charging churches property taxes, either. If Joel Osteen wants to make millions off people's fears and trepidation, the least he can do is give something back. Religion rakes in billions annually, yet it's tax exempt. If the government taxed all private universities property taxes, that's cool with me. I know people hate taxes, but they are a necessary evil. If anyone has any better ideas to pay off our debt, please share them. For those who complain about people on welfare, the government spends $100 on corporate welfare for every penny they contribute to social welfare. If they liquidated Bernie Madoff's funds to fix our roads, that would be just as well. What do you think folks? Would now be an excellent for these to come to their fruition?
