What happened to that old addage "Never discuss religion or politics"?

I run a company and discourage such interchanges. I do not instigate discussions on , politics or religion. They are all incendiary topics that can hurt the innocent and ruin relationships. If these three topics were outlawed on YA, the trolls, teens, and zealots (theists and atheists alike) would have no where to stir the pot and cause much havoc.
