Antigens and antibodies?

Actually it is the other way around. The antigen causes the immune response, for example, a bacterium. The antibody is produced by the body, in response to infection or immunization. Antibodies may also be given to an individual naturally (through pregnancy or feeding) or artificially (through injection of immune globulin). This is called pive immunization.
