Best advice for getting into NYC nightclub?

I am from Tennessee and I will be visiting NYC for the 1st time in a couple weeks. I am wanting to knwo what the best way to get into an upscale/exclusice NYC club is? Is it even likely that I could get into a club like Bungalow 8? I have done some research and the clubs that I have seen are Bungalow 8, Pink Elephant, Marquee... that's all I can think of. I would love to go somewhere that I couldn't compare here to, seeing a celebrity would also be great! I know that is shallow, but please remember, I am from Tennessee. Lol, anyway any kind of suggestions for my trip to NYC would be greatly appreciated!!!
