Any ideas for unique memorial tattoos?

ive always wanted a tattoo but because the thought of it being so permanent i wanted to wait till i found something that meant something to me. my gram just ped away this week (don't worry it will be months before i get anything done!) i was very close with her. including my dad she had 9 kids and there are 20+ grandkids. we're a very close family and my grandparents are very family oriented (& catholic). just some background on the situation. i wanted something small. a friend of mine took her mother's signature from a birthday card and go "Love, Mom". i really like that idea but i would like a little bit more than that. if any one has any ideas please share!
